Master



Kannur DCC president P.K. Vijayaraghavan Master died on Wednesday 28th Mar 2012 morning at 8 a.m in Mangalore. He was 70. He was admitted at the Unity Hospital in Mangalore following illness, a few days back. The body will be brought to his residence in Kadamboor at 2 pm today and will be taken to Kannur DCC Office on Thursday at 10 am for paying homage. The body will be cremated by 11 am at Payyambalam, Kannur.


Master took charge as the temporary DCC president on November 15 after the resignation of Sri. P. Ramakrishnan. Master was able to unite all groups of the party and had a good relation with everyone. He saw that group squabbles never affected the functioning of organisations.
Master was active in politics while working as a teacher in Kadamboor North UP School.He had also served as DCC secretary, DCC vice president, and Edakkad mandalam block congress president. He leaves behind his wife Smt. Pankajavally and children Sri. Danish (Gulf) and Ms. Dalia (teacher).
